Mr. Ahmed Salihijo
Technical Assistant to HMS /Coordinator,
Green Bond Secretariat

Mr Ahmed Salihijo is currently the Technical Assistant to the Honorable Minister of State for Environment Nigeria and the Coordinator of the Green Bond Secretariat at the Department of Climate Change, which is supported by the World Bank.  As the Coordinator, he is in charge of the Administrative Process of Nigeria’s inaugural Green Bond issuance of N10.75billion  (approximately 30m USD) across Power and Afforestation Sectors.

Previously, Mr Salihijo worked as an infrastructure/social development specialist with experiences in coordinating projects from inception to completion. Mr. Salihijo served as a pioneer staff of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), a Government agency set up to accelerate investment in national infrastructure growth through Public Private Partnerships (PPP). He was an integral member of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the SURE – P Programme, which was created to mitigate the effects of the partial removal of subsidy on petroleum products on the populace through Social Safety Nets (SSN).

Mr Salihijo is also the founder and trustee of a not for profit organization, Water Support Charity Organization (WSCO) that has built over 14 wells and 20 boreholes across 16 States in Nigeria.
